Emergency Procedures

Kingfisher Bend Ranch (KBR)
Address: 215 County Road 152

Reporting a Serious Fire, Medical Emergency, or Crime:

  1. Call 911 immediately

  2. Promptly inform Laura Jorgensen at 307-789-4938. If she doesn’t answer, call Teresa Robinson at 307-679-5660

  3. If possible, send someone to the main gate (the green metal gate at the west end of County Road 152) to:

    • Open the gate for emergency vehicles (be sure NOT to let cattle out)

    • Direct responders to turn left at the fork in the road

Nearest Hospital: Evanston Regional Hospital, 190 Arrowhead Drive, Evanston

Fire Response, Safety and Prevention:

  • The nearest Fire Station is about two miles away. Volunteers must be summoned before fire trucks can respond, so help will not be immediate

  • Water Hoses (May not be operational in winter):

    • West side of the Pond Cabins

    • Front yard of the Main Lodge

    • Near the propane tank at the Main Lodge

    • West wall of the Barn

  • Fire Extinguishers are located in the cleaning closets of the East and West sections of the Main Hall and in the hall closets of each Pond Cabin

  • If a wildfire threatens KBR’s buildings, equipment, livestock, and/or guests, consider the wind direction when choosing an escape route. The primary escape route is north to County Road 152 and onto Highway 150 South. If that route is blocked or deemed to be unsafe, go west to KBR’s bridge over the Bear River, and then south into Two Bear Ranch
